The SmartSource Professional distinguishes itself as one of the few desktop scanners featuring two exit pockets, facilitating seamless document sorting as they exit the track. While traditional two-pocket check scanners were typically bulky, spanning 2-3 feet in length, the Professional maintains a compact form factor similar to regular check scanners, all while achieving a top speed of close to 200 documents per minute.

Many bulk-processing branch scanners from the past have phased out of production, making parts and service increasingly challenging to obtain. In contrast, the SmartSource Professional offers the versatility to handle high-volume batch scanning and sorting tasks akin to those machines, yet with a size, cost, and complexity more akin to teller scanners.

Designed for easy maintenance, the Professional provides convenient access to all replaceable components and facilitates quick cleaning without the need to remove external covers. Utilizing the same “waffle” cleaning cards as the TellerScan product line, SmartSource scanners effectively remove dirt and dust, reaching inaccessible areas within the scanner track.

Furthermore, the SmartSource Professional’s Inkjet endorser empowers users to print up to four lines on the back of a check or money order, enabling the capture of comprehensive information as needed.
