Similar to its predecessor, the CheXpress CX35 maintains an affordable price point suited for the small-business market while upholding the same level of bank-quality accuracy and durability. Updated internal components, including a 600-dpi color image sensor, ensure its relevance in today’s landscape. Moreover, users have the option to incorporate additional features such as endorsement, franking, and networking.

4x the Resolution
The CX35 is equipped with dual 600-dpi contact image sensors, offering quadruple the image resolution of its predecessor without a significant increase in cost. These sensors capture high-resolution images and leverage Digital Check’s Best Read® image enhancement technology to generate quality images, ensuring accurate read rates for your application. Moreover, the scanner integrates MICR reading with supplemental OCR verification to enhance overall read accuracy.
New Intuitive Smart Button
The scanner features an intuitive Smart Button that takes the guesswork out of troubleshooting. The Smart Button includes a multicolor LED status indicator, maintenance reminders, and functions to activate cleaning mode, eject documents, and switch between connection modes (USB or Ethernet over USB, select models only).
New Automated Cleaning Feature
Users can activate the automated cleaning mode through the scanner’s intuitive smart button interface. By simply inserting a cleaning card, the scanner initiates an automated process wherein the card is scrubbed back and forth through the check transport, effectively cleaning the sensors for optimal performance.
Single-Line Endorser and Franker
An optional configuration is offered with a (96 dpi) single-line inkjet endorser, providing users with the flexibility to program their own endorsement text. The endorser utilizes the MS0083 ink cartridge (Digital Check single-line inkjet cartridge). Additionally, users have the option to add a user-replaceable red ink stamp roller if franking is required.
Zero-Footprint Install & Network-Enabled via RNDIS
Certain models of the CheXpress CX35 utilize a serial over USB connection, enabling zero-footprint installation for simplified setup and operation. With this setup, no driver or API file installation is necessary on the host computer, as the native RNDIS driver is utilized.
Moreover, the CX35-RNDIS (Models 157010-01 and 157010-02 only) offer an optional configuration with dual-connection modes. This allows users to seamlessly switch between USB and network scanning as needed. The CX35-RNDIS can function as a traditional USB scanner and can be later switched to operate as a network-enabled device, utilizing an Ethernet-over-USB (RNDIS) connection with the SecureLink 2.0 API.
